ORO e COLORE was conceived to allow anyone to learn the rudiments of painting restoration and wood gilding. Restoration could be described as an art which combines the latest technologies with the unique skills of an artisan.

ORO e COLORE would like students in to this field  to discover the vital balance between the skills of the trade and the professional code of ethics which surround it. The courses are taught by experienced professionals who work in conjunction with the Uffizi Gallery and other important italian and international museums, and they bring to their work the expertise gained after many years working in their respective fields.

 

 

The workshop, set in the very heart of artisan Florence and only a short distance from Ponte Vecchio, recreates the atmosphere of the ancient workshops and studios.
